Through a mutual associate of henchmans, Hatian Jack, Jack issued a warning to Tupac telling him refusing Henchman is bad news. Tupac declined the offer as he was signed to Interscope records, was a multi-platinum artist, and already had a manager. He offered to manage Tupac and also tried to get him signed to badboy records. Rosemond was extorting Puffy at the time, and Rosemond, being a street hustler at the time, wanted to enter the music industry as a legit figure. Tupac always blamed James 'Jimmy Henchman' Rosemond for having him shot. Pac for whatever reason was fully convinced that it was Biggie & Puffy who set him up and he could not be convinced otherwise. The tragic thing about this whole thing is that Biggie was 24, and Pac was 25 when they were both killed. Pac went to a Tyson fight in '96 (they were good friends, Tyson entered the ring to a few Pac songs). Pac and his Deathrow label mates started dissing Biggie and east coast in a lot of songs from this point on. Biggie claimed he recorded the song before the shooting but Pac wasn't hearing it. To make it worse, Biggie released the track 'Who shot ya' which Pac considered as a diss considering he just got shot.
